CMT Next Women of Country Class of 2023
"With her warm, agile voice and potent lyricism, Julie Williams is taking the country music world by storm." - Bluegrass Situation
"[Julie found] success through the power of her own voice, which shines through full force on her newly released EP." - American Songwriter
Singer-songwriter Julie Williams is turning heads in Nashville’s country music scene with songs that tell the stories she wished to hear as a mixed race child. A regular host of The Song Suffragettes, Julie was named in Rissi Palmer’s Color Me Country Class of 2021, featured on She Wolf Radio’s Ones 2 Watch list and her single Southern Curls was covered by Billboard, CMT, PBS NewsHour, and numerous music publications.
Having opened for acts such as RaeLynn and Mt. Joy, Julie tours with the Black Opry Revue, a showcase of Black artists in country, blues, folk, and Americana music, and performed with the group at CMA Fest 2022 in Nashville. After a summer solo tour on the East Coast and across the pond in London, Julie is traveling the country again this fall with performances across the Midwest, West Coast, and Northeast.
The Levitt Pavilion 2023 Season includes over 50 shows presented free-of-charge (free-ticket shows) - as well as our Stars on Tour series and Gala - to fill your spring, summer and fall with music, performing arts and more.
